Youth Development Ambassador
At this time, the Department of Youth Development seeks Youth Development Ambassadors in the following categories:
A) Youth Development Ambassadors (Youth Development): to support the development of strategies, priorities, and direction for regional Youth Development Networks. This role includes facilitating partnerships with systems change partners, including regional stakeholders, to coordinate and collaborate on shared priorities and implementation; and
B) Youth Development Ambassadors (Youth Reentry & Decarceration): to support the development of strategies, priorities, and direction for youth decarceration and reentry initiatives, including programs and policies focused on increasing access to supportive services and alternatives to incarceration for justice-involved youth. This role includes supporting partnerships with community and system partners, including justice system partners, to coordinate and collaborate on shared priorities and implementation of decarceration, reentry, and Credible Messenger mentorship strategies; and
C) Youth Development Ambassadors (Coordination & Innovation): to support research and evaluation for youth development programs. This role includes learning data management, quality assurance, and data-related technical assistance to support youth development partners; as well as support for collaborative communication of data, evidence, and opportunities for program improvement and equity.
Youth Development Specialist
At this time, the Department seeks Youth Development Specialists to provide program and project management for the following specific areas of work:
A) Youth Development Specialists (Youth Development): to facilitate the development of strategies, priorities, and direction for regional Youth Development Networks and school-based youth development and diversion programming, including supportive services and alternatives to suspension, expulsion, or arrest in partnership with schools. This role includes facilitating partnerships with systems change partners, including school administrators and regional stakeholders, to coordinate and collaborate on shared priorities and implementation of school-based youth development; and
B) Youth Development Specialists (Youth Reentry & Decarceration): to facilitate the development of strategies, priorities, and direction for youth decarceration initiatives, including programs and policies focused on increasing access to supportive services and alternatives to incarceration for justice-involved youth. This role includes facilitating partnerships with community and system partners, including justice system partners, to coordinate and collaborate on shared priorities and implementation of decarceration strategies; and
C) Youth Development Specialists (Coordination & Innovation): to facilitate research, evaluation, shared learning, and training coordination.
Youth Development Supervisor
At this time, the Department seeks Youth Development Supervisors to fill the following specific vacancies:
A) Youth Development Supervisor (School-Based Youth Development): to lead the development of strategies, priorities, and direction for school-based youth development and diversion programming, including supportive services and alternatives to suspension, expulsion, or arrest in partnership with schools. This role includes cultivating and facilitating partnerships with systems change partners, especially school administrators, to coordinate and collaborate on shared priorities and implementation of school-based youth development; and
