Heart of Youth Justice Reimagined – San Fernando Valley Meeting

Flyer for the San Fernando Valley ‘Heart of Youth Justice Reimagined’ youth leadership program. It invites youth aged 14–24 to join a leadership group that empowers young people to engage with the LA County Department of Youth Development and contribute to Youth Justice Reimagined (YJR) initiatives. The program is scheduled for Thursdays, August 28, September 25, October 30, November 20, and December 18, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Midnight Hour Records, 1101 San Fernando Rd, San Fernando, CA 91340. The flyer offers a $25 youth stipend and dinner provided for participants. It emphasizes the importance of building leadership, voice, and community participation to create systems change for youth in LA County. Heart of Youth Justice Reimagined (HYJR) is a youth-led and youth-centered group dedicated to shaping Los Angeles County’s YJR initiative. One of the core values of YJR is community participation. The young people and community engaged in YJR want to make sure this process is shaped by the people who are most impacted, and that the YJR implementation truly contributes to the wellbeing, happiness and safety of youth in Los Angeles County.
